Spinach Apple Banana Smoothie - The perfect start to a healthy morning
Smoothies, the latest buzzword in healthy drinks are not just great in a multitude of nutrients but even easy to make and hassle-free.
Spinach is rich in antioxidants, essential vitamins, and minerals. Packed with vitamin A, C, E, and K, it is also plush with iron and calcium. Hence, it serves to be great for your immunity, body and cell growth and a glowing, healthy complexion.
Bananas are rich in iron and a great source of energy while apples are a heart-friendly fruit rich in Vitamin C and fiber.
Here’s a recipe that combines the best of all worlds.
- 1 small or half of a large apple, peeled and cored
- 1 frozen banana
- 1/3 cup almond milk
- 1/3 cup Greek yogurt
- 1 cup or a handful of baby spinach
- 2 tablespoons raw almonds
- 2 teaspoons honey
- Flax seeds
Add all ingredients to the blender, except ice, blend until smooth. Add ice for a thicker smoothie.
